What is that Odd Odor?......and what do I do now?
You walk into your home after a long day at work. You smell something odd. Suddenly you realize that noxious rotten egg odor could possibly be a natural gas leak loosing harmful vapors into the air.
You remember what not to do! You do not flip on any electrical switches, unplug anything or even use your landline, cell phone or computer inside for any purpose whatsoever. You gather pets and anyone else who is with you and GO OUTSIDE immediately!
Once outside, you use your speed dial and call Complete Comfort at 314-631-8762. Complete Comfort Technicians will be on the scene pronto to assess the situation. If your appliances have shut off valves, then the leak can be fixed quite easily. If the gas lines are hidden behind walls or drop ceilings with no shut off valves, then Complete Comfort will use an instrument called a Manometer to confirm if the gas lines are leaking. However, the Manometer doesn't indicate the number of leaks involved. After the initial leak is fixed, Complete Comfort will run a pressure test to make sure there are no other gas leaks in different locations. This can become a rather involved process: confirm, fix, test, confirm, fix, test, etc., not to mention expensive.
At any point of the process, if Complete Comfort feels there is a real danger to your house and your neighborhood, the experienced technicians will call the appropriate Gas Company in your area for you and they will turn off all gas flowing into your home. At this point, you will not have gas for heating your home or cooking meals, etc. It might be very necessary for you to plan on staying with a friend, family member, or go to a hotel for safety.
There is a better way!
Annual check-ups will thwart all of this unnecessary inconvenience, unexpected expense, long procedural repair process and even disaster for you and your family. Complete Comfort offers an annual check-up of the gas unit in your home. Better to be safe today! Call today for your check-up!
