Water in the Basement
I arrived at a customer's home at 1:30 in the afternoon. We have been here before and couldn’t repair their furnace because of water and sewage back-up in the basement. The first thing I asked the home owner was if the problem been fixed. The home owner assured me everything was taken care of led me inside. The basement door was opened and as I peeked down the stairs I could still see about two feet of water lapping on the bottom step. I turned to the lady of the house and asked, “I thought you said that the problem was solved?” She looked at me and pointed down the stairs and said, “ It is! We bought a blow-up boat and paddles from Walmart so you can paddle across the basement to the furnace and work on it.”
